Ted is an advanced instructor who has been teaching hang gliding since 2012. Driven by his love for freeflight he has been working full time as a hang gliding instructor or tandem pilot since 2014. He moved to the Salt Lake City area from Lookout Mountain Flight Park in Georgia in 2019 to take over where Pat McGuinness left off with his Wings Over Wasatch Hang Gliding school.
Beyond flying hang gliders and teaching others to fly, Ted is an avid snowboarder, and enjoys paragliding, backpacking, rock climbing, d&d, and mountain biking.
Ian Brubaker has been a pilot since 2006, starting with flying Cessnas, then sailplanes, and now hang gliders. Hang gliding has been his primary form of aviation for over 7 years and has been teaching it since 2015, holding a basic instructor and tandem rating. Ian also holds a B.S. in Space Physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Ian's passion and expertise is to make flying easy to understand and fun to learn by leveraging both his practical and theoretical background of aviation.
Becca started hang gliding during the Summer of 2012 when her Miami to Montreal XC bike trip was disrupted by tornado warnings in North Carolina's Outer Banks. She has since worked as a glider technician, harness manufacturer, sales rep/reservationist, and was the operations manager at the largest flight park in the country until she moved to Salt Lake City in late 2019.
Pat is an advanced hang gliding instructor and a foot launch tandem pilot.
Certified by the United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, he moved to Utah' Rocky Mountains seven years ago to take advantage of the best skiing and hang gliding on earth and hasn’t looked back.
